HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
 The concept of these Spiritual gifts (also referred to as Spiritual Powers) are biblical based, they have been in the bible for thousands of years.They were first clarified by Emma Curtis Hopkins (1853-1925)  one of the Co-Founders of the Unity Christian School. The popularity of these Powers though came through Charles Fillmore (1854-1948) another Co-Founder of the Unity Christian School  in his book "Twelve Powers". These powers are the foundation of the school of thought,and they transformed the lives of millions of people and created a whole movement  towards higher consciousness.
